Job Summary
The role of Compliance Caretaker will include carrying out risk assessments, supporting planned maintenance programmes, ensuring tools and equipment are maintained and used properly, reporting faults, hazards and inappropriate practice promptly, and providing accurate daily work records.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out risk assessments and report issues.
- Support planned maintenance programmes.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
- Test fire alarms, emergency lighting and water tests across all schemes and sites in the London region.
- Empty properties, collect fly‑tipping, perform ground maintenance, hard/soft landscaping, void clearances, fencing and related works.
- Maintain accurate compliance logs and records and ensure documentation is up to date for audits or inspections.
- Travel to sites and drive a company vehicle (full manual UK driving licence required).
- Work independently, manage spreadsheets and technology effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks.
- Experience using a PDA or similar device to record data.
- Practical experience operating hand tools and light machinery.
- Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
