We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our team, predominantly working in and around the Liverpool area. This role sits within the Voids Team and is responsible for bringing void properties back to a lettable standard, by using a wide range of skills and working alongside other Multi-Trade Operatives. The role will involve working on repairs for predominantly void properties and will cover all aspects of general building repairs and maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing and wet trades. You must have qualifications in Joinery, and competency in other trades. You will work largely with the wider team sharing out of hours call outs on a rota basis with some lone working required. Company van and tools are included.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications.
- Instillation of new kitchens, bathrooms, wet rooms, windows, doors and fencing.
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocked when needed.
- Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or setting in motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed.
- Provide accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer.
Key Qualifications
- To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (joinery, carpentry, electrical), Plumbing Level 3, Unvented – G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). Candidates must bring original certification verifying proof of their qualifications during the interview process. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation.
- Skills in Joinery, Plumbing and Wet Trades (plastering, tiling).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead.
- Full valid UK driving licence if driving a company vehicle is required.
