We have an opportunity for a Scheme Manager based in Hertford to work with the Independent Living Team. For this position you will be encouraging residents to maintain their well-being and independence and to support the delivery of high-quality, safe and value-for-money housing management services that meet customer and organisational objectives.
The job sits within Sanctuary Housing Services which manages homes across England, providing general rented housing, market rent properties, shared ownership and home ownership accommodation. It also provides housing related services including lettings, debt management, tenancy management and customer services support.
The role of Scheme Manager will include:
- Meet all legislative and regulatory requirements for housing services activities to ensure clean and safe homes for the Group’s customers, including undertaking compliance testing, risk assessments and scheme inspections and ensuring faults are reported and monitored.
- Promote resident involvement and provide information on local community services and agencies to promote wellbeing and independence.
- Effectively manage relationships with key stakeholders, service providers including contractors and residents, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring they are dealt with appropriately. This may include consultations for service improvements, resolving problems or setting into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed.
- Coordinate the delivery of local services to ensure the scheme(s) are maintained and kept clean and secure, in accordance with Group standards and lease obligations.
- Monitor contractor performance, take appropriate action and escalate more complex issues as appropriate.
Skills and experiences:
- Some experience of working with older people in a support capacity and understanding their individual needs or similar.
- Working knowledge of the key needs and services available to residents.
- Working knowledge of good practice resident involvement or customer participation activities and practices.
- Some experience of problem solving and implementing effective solutions, including referrals as needed.
- Working knowledge of handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Occasional travel may be a requirement of the role; therefore, a full valid driving licence is essential.
