We have a new exciting opportunity for a Head of Building Safety Delivery to lead the development, maintenance and review of our building safety strategies, ensuring a co-ordinated approach across the Group. This role is key in ensuring that we deliver a sector leading and high-quality building safety capability with our priority being the safety of our residents. You will lead the Building Safety delivery programme ensuring the Group is prepared to meet all new and existing legislative and regulatory requirements. This position sits within the Building Safety department which is responsible for ensuring that the Group meets all new and existing legislative and regulatory requirements with regard to building safety.
The role of Head of Building Safety Delivery will include:
- Lead the development and implementation of appropriate building safety operational frameworks, and development of building safety cases working with technical leads
- Manage and coordinate the effective planning of building safety resources to ensure our buildings are operationally well-managed, working collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team and technical leads
- Support the development and implementation of operational appropriate business processes to manage and deal with compliance and repairs escalations and overall building safety risks
- Ensure that tall buildings are compliant and ensure the building safety team manage escalations through to completion
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead the recruitment, performance management and development of an effective team
Skills and experiences:
- Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Level 6 or willing to work towards
- Comprehensive experience of developing and reviewing appropriate building safety delivery strategies ideally in a social housing environment
- Significant knowledge of building safety regulations, legislation, current projects and working with complex buildings
- Significant knowledge of fire safety regulation
- Comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of digital building information
- Substantial experience of leading a team in a large, complex organisation
- Proven experience of delivering services within budget
- Proven ability to work to deadlines, prioritise workloads and manage productivity
- Proven knowledge of financial regulations and good practice principles
- Comprehensive experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.

Role salary is £86,763 with an additional policy allowance of £1,995 per annum (rising to £91,340 with an additional policy allowance of £2,100 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance).
