Sanctuary provide in-house repairs and maintenance services for an extensive portfolio of properties across Sanctuary organisations. We are looking for a highly motivated Gas Engineer to join our Regional Gas Management team working across the Midlands region. You will carry out installation works to our occupied and void properties and during quieter periods will carry out servicing and repairs of boilers. The role will be mostly lone working and you will be provided with a company van and all the power and essential tools needed for the job. You will also be issued with an iPhone and tablet which links to our systems including scheduling and fault reporting.
The role of Gas Engineer will include:
- Service and maintain domestic boilers
- Installing boilers in both residential and commercial properties
- Utilising analytical and trade skills to diagnose and repair faults
- Completing and submitting gas safety records, identifying and responding to risks, recording logging and completing work via electronic device tablet or phone
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed from our partner suppliers
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, Unvented - G3 Certificate, Water Regulations (WRAS) or currently undertaking the qualification
- Ideally you will have experience of the installation of different types of boilers
- The ability to work alone on a variety of different boiler types and systems
- Renewable heating experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Have a proactive approach to health and safety, creating a safe environment for all
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
- As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
