Property Sustainability Assessor – Part Time
Ely – Covering the East Region
£21,951 - £23,106 per year plus Company car or car allowance of £7,703 (pro rata)
20 hours per week
Temporary position for up to 18 months
We have an opportunity for a Property Sustainability Assessor to join our Energy Efficiency team based in the East Region. The team currently consists of 13 staff members who manage the delivery of National Energy Efficiency Programmes which includes the Warm Homes Social Housing Fund Wave 3 as well as other adhoc projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of Energy Efficiency programmes and projects on a daily basis, carrying out sustainability assessments across properties as directed, monitoring standards and controlling contractors.
- Coordinate, communicate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers, ensuring that they are kept informed of progress.
- Manage external contractors to ensure energy improvement work is carried out in accordance with contract specifications and programmes.
- Resolve problems arising from the conflicting interests of contractors, customers and residents, ensuring these are dealt with to the satisfaction of both parties in line with the requirements of the contract.
- Provide efficient administrative and support services to the team as required.
Skills and experiences
- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Sustainability or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Energy Efficiency and a member of or working towards membership of a relevant organisation/membership or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
- Proven experience in working with others to deliver property related works, including indirect reports and third party suppliers.
- Working knowledge of legislations and best practice.
- Proven experience of managing small to medium scale reinvestment projects.
- Some experience of working within a building, surveying and maintenance environment and PAS2035 requirements.
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.

Role salary is £19,078 with an additional policy allowance of £2,873 per annum (rising to £20,082 with an additional policy allowance of £3,024 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance) (pro rata).
