The position of Cleaning Assistant is referred to internally as General Assistant - Cleaning.

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Hours: 30 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of communal areas, offices, and the kitchen
  • Ensuring all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard
  • Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site to maintain a safe environment
  • Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes
  • Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards, and ensuring the needs of our customers are met
  • Ensuring customers’ privacy and dignity are maintained and respected

Skills and experience

  • Working knowledge and experience of general cleaning duties (desirable)
  • Some experience in a domestic/catering environment
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • General understanding of health and safety in the workplace
