Caretaker
Β£25,400 β Β£26,737 per year
40 hours per week β Monday to Friday β 8:00am to 4:30pm
We have an opportunity for a Caretaker to join our Property Services team based in Ipswich. As a Caretaker you will be responsible for carrying out an excellent caretaking service which will involve compliance testing inclusive of water hygiene, emergency lighting, fire alarms, AOV, smoke detectors and shower head descaling. This role will involve lone working and the ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering high quality services and high levels of customer service.
The role of Mobile Caretaker will include:
- Provide an effective estate maintenance service by undertaking caretaking, cleaning, basic repair and grounds maintenance duties in accordance with local and legislative procedures to meet customer and organisational needs
- Carry out risk assessments to identify and report any potential maintenance issues to ensure a safe environment is maintained and to support planned maintenance programmes
- Working with customers to resolve issues and improve services
- Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition
Skills and experiences:
- Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
- Knowledge of cleaning and caretaking, and an understanding of COSHH and Risk Assessments
- Practical experience of carrying out risk assessments
- British institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS) would be advantageous
- Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
