Responsibilities
- Provide support to encourage customers who have faced homelessness to maximise their own potential and independence.
- Ensure the smooth running of the service and promote the service effectively to others.
- Work closely with staff and customers to deliver a high‑quality, intensive support service.
- Manage a team of Project Workers.
- Recruit, develop, and train staff within appropriate legislative or NVQ frameworks and devise effective and well‑run staff rotas.
- Oversee and monitor the quality of risk tools, assessments, and personalised support plans.
- Liaise with staff to ensure positive outcomes, focusing on maintaining tenancies and move‑on objectives.
- Promote safe working practices by undertaking risk assessments to support, reduce or eliminate risks.
- Complete and monitor health and safety checks within the service.
Skills and Experiences
- Full drivers licence required.
- NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards it.
- Proven experience of working with a similar customer group is essential.
- Previous housing‑related support is desirable.
- Sound knowledge of housing management including rents, tenancies and health and safety.
- Good understanding of occupancy agreements.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and react effectively under pressure.
