We have an opportunity for a Scheme Manager to join our Sanctuary Independent Living Service (SILS) division. The purpose of this role is to support people in the schemes to continue to live independently for as long as possible, encouraging residents to maintain their well-being and independence and to support the delivery of high quality, safe and value for money housing management services that meet customer and organisational objectives. This role consists of lone working over 2 schemes in Buxton, with expected travel to other schemes within the team when required.

The role of Scheme Manager will include:

  • Promoting resident involvement and providing information on local community services and agencies to promote well-being and independence.
  • Meeting all legislative and regulatory requirements for housing services activities to ensure clean and safe homes for the Group’s customers, including undertaking compliance testing, risk assessments and scheme inspections and ensuring faults are reported and monitored.
  • Effectively managing relationships with key stakeholders, service providers including contractors and residents, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring they are dealt with appropriately.
  • Coordinating the delivery of local services in accordance with Group standards and lease obligations, monitoring contractor performance, taking appropriate action and elevating more complex issues as appropriate.
  • Ensuring the delivery of high quality customer service by resolving problems and complaints or setting into motion the means of resolution, focusing on first contact resolution where appropriate and referring more complex issues as necessary.
  • Providing administrative support and assisting the Housing Officer with the setting and monitoring of budgets and accounts and supporting effective income recovery.

Skills and experiences:

  • Numeracy and literacy to the equivalent of GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths.
  • Some experience of working with older people in a support capacity and understanding their individual needs or similar.
  • Working knowledge of the key needs and services available to residents.
  • Some experience of problem solving and implementing effective solutions, including referrals as needed.
  • Ability to interpret and maintain computerised information and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential.

The full time equivalent salary for this role is £25,374 per annum (based on 37.5 hours per week), rising to £26,159 per annum after 12 months service and subject to satisfactory performance.
