We have an exciting opportunity for two Building Safety Coordinators to join our Building Safety Services team. These roles are primarily site‑based, working a minimum of three days per week across our complex high‑rise buildings. As part of the team responsible for driving the organisation’s compliance with the Building Safety Act, you will play a key role in delivering meaningful change.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out building inspections
- Supporting the Building Safety Manager
- Engaging directly with residents
- Delivering structured resident engagement activities
- Monitoring remedial works and repairs to improve customer outcomes
- Supporting the collection and organisation of information required for our Safety Cases
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to complete a further recognised building safety or fire safety qualification. They will receive full support and development throughout the role from their line manager and the Building Safety Technical Lead, as well as dedicated mentoring from an additional Building Safety Manager.
The role of Building Safety Coordinator will include:
- Working closely with the Building Safety Manager, regularly attending our high‑rise properties across East, North and South‑West London to monitor and assure maintenance, repairs, remodelling and service activity
- Reviewing building‑specific information—such as Fire Risk Assessments, structural surveys, maintenance inspections, remedial actions and callouts—to ensure all requirements are completed within agreed timeframes
- Monitoring building safety remedial works and supporting property services colleagues to ensure timely completion and improved outcomes for residents
- Ensuring full compliance with Government legislation, Health and Safety requirements and all relevant Group policies and procedures
- Developing and maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of building safety legislation to provide accurate advice and guidance to internal stakeholders and customers
- Assisting in gathering, monitoring and recording all information required for Building Safety Cases, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act
- Reviewing and improving building safety processes, ensuring colleagues and residents follow updated procedures and that all activity is recorded in line with Group policy
- Leading and supporting resident engagement activities, including drop‑in sessions within complex buildings
- Carrying out regular building inspections within high‑rise properties
- Supporting access arrangements for contractors and working closely with housing, CSC & property services to ensure improved satisfaction and customer journey
- Being visible in our customers' homes
Skills and experiences:
- Willing to undertake a further qualification in fire safety/building safety to support them in the role
- A passion for resident safety and engaging with customers to improve their experience
- Experience working within a residential or social housing setting, working to improve customer safety
- Must be committed to regular and ongoing CPD related to building safety
- Working knowledge of the application of building regulations, legislation, and current practice
- Proven experience of carrying out onsite inspections, identifying, and working with stakeholders to manage risk
- Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving license
- Experience of working in compliance, property services, development or construction

Effective 1st April role salary is £41,059 per annum (rising to £43,225 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance).
