We’re excited to welcome a Bank General Assistant Catering to support the preparation and serving of nutritious, well-presented meals at our Poplar House Retirement Community. Working as part of a friendly kitchen team, you’ll help create a positive dining experience for residents within a calm, well-organised environment.

Your role:

  • Help prepare meals and drinks while following food hygiene standards
  • Support customers and colleagues to deliver a high standard of service
  • Keep kitchens, communal areas, and flats clean and tidy
  • Report any faults or hazards to maintain a safe environment
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure equipment is used safely

Experience with general cleaning duties (desirable) and some experience in a domestic or catering environment is preferred. A Level 2 diploma in housekeeping or catering, or willingness to work towards it, is also beneficial. Good interpersonal and customer service skills, along with a basic understanding of health and safety in the workplace, are essential.
