Property Sustainability Assessor – Part Time

Location: Adderbury, Oxfordshire, GB, OX17 3DZ

Department: Property Services | Operation: Sanctuary Property Services | Closing Date: 23/07/2026 | Requisition: 229021

Salary: £23,048 – £24,262 per year plus company car or car allowance

Hours: 20 hours per week

Contract: Temporary for up to 18 months

Role Overview

We have an opportunity for a Property Sustainability Assessor to join our Energy Efficiency team based in Banbury. The team currently consists of 13 staff members who manage the delivery of National Energy Efficiency Programmes which includes the Warm Homes Social Housing Fund Wave 3 as well as other ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of energy efficiency programmes and projects, carrying out sustainability assessments across properties as directed, monitoring standards and controlling contractors.
  • Coordinate, communicate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers, ensuring they are kept informed of progress.
  • Manage external contractors to ensure energy improvement work is carried out in accordance with contract specifications and programmes.
  • Resolve problems arising from conflicting interests of contractors, customers and residents, ensuring these are dealt with to the satisfaction of both parties in line with the requirements of the contract.
  • Provide efficient administrative and support services to the team as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 in Sustainability or NVQ Level 2/3 in Energy Efficiency and a member of or working towards membership of a relevant organisation / currently undertaking the qualification. Original certification must be provided at interview; copies or CSCS cards not acceptable.
  • Proven experience in working with others to deliver property related works, including indirect reports and third party suppliers.
  • Working knowledge of legislation and best practice.
  • Proven experience of managing small to medium scale reinvestment projects.
  • Some experience working within a building, surveying and maintenance environment and PAS2035 requirements.
  • Must hold a full valid UK driving licence to drive a company vehicle.

  • Role salary is £20,032 with an additional policy allowance of £3,016 per annum (rising to £21,086 with an additional policy allowance of £3,175 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance) (pro rata)
