Overview
Multi–Trade Operative – Joiner. Location: Kirkstall. Salary: £34,376 – £36,185 per year. 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:30pm. We are looking for a skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join our team of operatives with a mix of skills and qualifications working on repairs for tenanted properties. The role is mainly lone working with opportunities to work with the wider team as required. A company van and power tools are provided; the role covers areas in and around West Yorkshire.
Responsibilities
- Attend mostly occupied properties to carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties
- Resolve problems or initiate the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
- Maintain a suitable van stock level and restock as needed
- Provide accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
- Provide out of hours cover via a call out rota
Skills and Qualifications
- To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates must be qualified to NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical). If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS) may be applicable.
- As part of the interview process, candidates must bring original certification verifying proofs of qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
- Skills in at least one of the following disciplines – Joinery or Plumbing
- Ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
- Previous experience working within Social Housing is desirable
- This role will involve driving on company business. A full valid UK driving licence is required to drive a company vehicle
