Grounds Maintenance Team Leader

Bromley

£30,388 – £31,987 per year

40 hours per week

We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader known internally as a Landscape Technician Charge Hand to join our team based in Bromley. You will work alongside 2 other Landscape Technicians visiting a variety of properties, providing ground maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, hedge cutting and shrub pruning in communal areas. A company van will be provided and it will be your responsibility to ensure it is kept in good condition.

The role of Landscape Technician Charge Hand will include:

  • Provide supervisory support in keeping estates well maintained and clean
  • Use equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and the manufacturer’s guidance
  • Carry out all hazardous tasks such as spraying, in accordance with supplier guidelines ensuring relevant records are maintained to comply with health and safety and legal requirements
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks
  • Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations

Skills and experiences:

  • A pesticide application certificate PA1 – PA6 or equivalent
  • Recent experience of working within a similar role where operating gardening machinery is essential
  • Experience of driving large caged van
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
