We have an opportunity for a Mobile Caretaker (Compliance) to join our Estates Team within Property Services based in Ely. As a Mobile Caretaker, you will be responsible for carrying out an excellent caretaking service which will involve compliance testing inclusive of water hygiene, emergency lighting, fire alarms, AOV, smoke detectors and shower head descaling. This role will involve lone working and the ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering high quality services and high levels of customer service. This role involves travelling to all areas within the East region, completing compliance testing.
40 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm
The role of Mobile Caretaker will include:
- General cleaning (including kitchens, shower rooms and bathrooms / vacuuming / dusting / mopping)
- Some caretaking tasks as required as part of the service delivery
- Carry out risk assessments to identify and report any potential maintenance issues, to ensure a safe environment is maintained and to support planned maintenance programmes
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and used in line with policies and procedures
- Ensure all supplies and stocks are ordered, maintained and stored appropriately
- Maintain relationships with internal and external customers, providing accurate and timely information on progress and respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
Skills and experiences:
- Able to demonstrate a competent level of numeracy and literacy
- Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
- Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) guidelines
- Good communication, interpersonal and customer care skills
This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
