Sanctuary Supported Living is recruiting for an Apprentice Chef at Millbrook House.

We specialise in providing personalised housing, care, and support services across England to help people live independently.

The position is also known as Demi Chef, Line Chef, Cook, Chef de Partie (CDP), or Commis Chef.

The Apprentice Chef role includes:

  • Providing high-quality catering services for our customers
  • Managing food and labour budgets, including rota planning, purchasing, and stock control, to ensure menu delivery within budget
  • Processing orders, managing stock locations, conducting audits, and recording weekly labour and daily cash flows
  • Overseeing the Food Safety Management System and ensuring team compliance
  • Scheduling cleaning and maintenance routines for food areas and equipment to maintain safety standards
  • Carrying out risk assessments and maintaining high sanitation standards

Skills and experience required:

  • At least 2 GCSEs at grade D or E (grades 2–3) or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Previous catering experience and cooking for diverse groups are preferred
  • Friendly, approachable attitude with good communication skills
