What is Tax?
In Tax, you’ll work with a wide range of businesses, from small companies to large organisations, across different industries. You’ll be part of a supportive team, working closely with clients to help them understand tax rules and make sure they pay the right amount of tax at the right time. You’ll learn how businesses work, build valuable technical skills, and study towards professional qualifications while gaining real work experience.
Life as a Tax Apprentice:
Tax offers you the opportunity to work on a variety of important projects whilst building a career that could take many different routes. You will become part of a team that works collaboratively with clients, helping them navigate complex tax policies and pay the right tax at the right time. You will also tackle challenges at the heart of different businesses and develop an understanding of how businesses operate, whilst building technical skills and professional qualifications.
Your future:
You’ll study for an AAT Level 3 initially and then move to study for the CA, giving you structured learning through online and in person study. Throughout the programme, you will benefit from learning every day, having the resources and support that you need to thrive and develop technical skills to reach your full potential.
Who can apply:
- 5 National 5 qualifications at Grades A – C (including English Language and Maths at Grade B or equivalent)
- On track for or achieved 120 UCAS points from your ‘top’ 3 Scottish Highers grades, excluding General Studies.
If you do not meet all the criteria and are a few grades or points short, then we would still encourage you to apply, as you will be given the option to give extra information on extenuating circumstances.
