Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Overall responsibility of food quality and presentation, sent out to customers.
- Managing kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Maintaining a positive and engaged team through 1:1 meetings, incentives and recognition.
- Inductions for all new starters in line with company procedure.
- Manage the Sous Chefs to ensure all training is to company standards.
- Ensuring that all kitchen staff follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and kitchen procedures.
- Managing food inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensuring that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and repaired as needed.
- Collaborating with other kitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
- Handling customer complaints or issues related to food quality or service.
- Treat everyone with respect and remain calm at all times.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 2 year’s experience in a similar role.
- Team management experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail, highly organised and capable of handling multiple tasks.
- A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgement and minimal direction.
