You will:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership as a core member of the Senior Leadership Team and will play a central role in shaping whole school practice and improving life changes for young people in Mansfield.
- Lead the Academy’s Quality of Education strategy, securing consistently high-quality teaching and learning across all subjects.
- Drive professional development, including Early Career Framework delivery, middle leadership development, and a coherent programme of CPD.
- Lead whole-school quality assurance, including curriculum implementation, subject leadership, and reading across the curriculum.
- Develop and deliver a Quality of Education Improvement Plan, demonstrating clear, measurable impact.
- Lead on preparedness for Ofsted and SIAMS inspections, ensuring the Academy is always inspection-ready.
- Line manage senior and middle leaders, providing challenge, support, and accountability to secure sustained improvement.
- Act as Deputy to the Head of School as required.
- Champion a culture of high expectations, professional urgency, and unwavering belief that every child can succeed.

The Person

- A proven track record of impactful senior leadership, with demonstrable improvements in outcomes.
- Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to design and implement effective systems to improve Quality of Education.
- Significant experience of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- An excellent communicator, able to inspire staff, students, and the wider community.
- Deep understanding of teaching, curriculum, pedagogy, and professional development.
- Strong data literacy, using assessment intelligently to inform improvement.
- NPQSL or NPQH (or equivalent).
- Experience of leading through Ofsted and/or SIAMS inspections.
- Experience in managing complex HR matters.
- Understanding of school funding and resource deployment.
