As Quality Assurance Manager, you'll lead and develop a high-performing QA team across a 24/7 operation. You'll play a key role in maintaining and improving standards relating to food safety, legality, and quality, ensuring we consistently meet both customer and regulatory expectations. You'll be the go-to expert for all QA matters on site, working closely with cross-functional teams to embed best practice and champion continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing the QA team, building a strong and capable function.
  • Ensuring compliance with BRCGS standards and customer requirements.
  • Acting as the key contact for food safety, legality and quality across the business.
  • Driving resolution of non-conformances and out-of-specification results.
  • Supporting and enhancing HACCP systems and auditing processes.
  • Managing supplier quality, raw materials, and product release systems.
  • Leading site audits, including customer and third-party interactions.
  • Deputising for the Technical Manager when required.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a QA leadership role within chilled/high-care food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety and quality systems.
  • Experience with audits, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills.
  • A hands-on, proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
