This is a truly commercial finance role where you will act as a key business partner to the Commercial team, using data-led insight to influence decision-making and drive financial performance across assigned customers and categories. You will play an integral role in shaping strategy, improving processes and supporting sustainable growth.
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with Commercial, Sales and Marketing teams to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions and support decision-making.
- Lead financial analysis for forecasting, budgeting and performance reviews, including sales, margin and volume movements.
- Support customer tenders, pricing decisions and commercial negotiations through robust financial modelling.
- Identify and explain key drivers of performance, including cost recovery, price changes and product mix.
- Lead, coach and develop members of the category finance team while driving continuous process improvement.
Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with commercial finance experience, ideally within FMCG, retail or a similar environment.
- Strong business partnering skills with the confidence to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly analytical, with experience handling large datasets and translating data into clear, actionable insight.
- Advanced Excel capability, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and SUMIFS.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
Salary: Β£47,220 per year (estimated) β’ Permanent
