The Opportunity
As Technical Manager, you’ll be the guardian of food safety, quality, and legality across our site. You’ll lead the technical agenda, ensuring compliance with customer and legislative standards, and drive continuous improvement through strategic KPIs and audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver group, customer, and category strategies on-site
- Lead and develop the technical team (QA, Technical Services, Process)
- Own site technical budget and support Profit Improvement Plans (PIPs)
- Manage customer relationships and external communications
- Oversee hygiene standards, root cause investigations, and risk management
- Support health & safety objectives and supplier approval systems
- Champion internal audits and change management initiatives

- Strong knowledge of supermarket food safety standards and IT systems

- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication and influencing abilities
