As a QA Manager, you help make sure the food we produce is safe, legal and high quality every day. You lead the Quality Assurance team and oversee quality systems across the site. You work closely with Operations, Technical and other teams to make sure standards are followed, issues are resolved quickly and continuous improvement is part of everyday work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing Quality Assurance team across a 24/7 operation.
- Act as the site expert on food safety, quality, and legality matters.
- Ensure QA systems are robust, compliant, and continuously improved.
- Drive resolution of non-conformances and out-of-spec issues.
- Play a key role in HACCP development and auditing systems.
- Support and lead customer and third-party audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Hygiene, Supply Chain and Engineering.
- Deputise for the Technical Manager when required.
About You
- Proven experience in a QA leadership role within chilled high‑care food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety standards, and auditing.
- Previous experience managing and developing teams.
- A proactive, hands‑on approach with excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast‑moving environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
