Based in Bristol, we are recruiting a Health & Safety Technician to support our Oak Meadow and Bristol teams, focusing on improving systems, engaging teams, and fostering a strong safety culture. As a H&S Technician, you will assist the Health & Safety Manager with daily safety management tasks, incident reviews, site inspections, audits, and coaching managers and supervisors. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Investigating incidents and identifying improvements
  • Compiling monthly performance reports and analyzing trends
  • Delivering H&S inductions, managing contractor controls, and ongoing training
  • Developing safety campaigns and projects
  • Ensuring current and effective risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Supporting environmental reporting and deputizing for the H&S Manager when needed

The ideal candidate will have:

  • NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent EQF Level 4)
  • Associate or Technical IOSH membership (or working towards)
  • Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or transport, preferably in the food industry
  • Knowledge of hazards such as workplace transport, racking, MHE, contractor control, LOTO
  • A genuine enthusiasm for H&S and helping others work safely
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach
