We're looking for an Area Manager to join our Operations Management Team at Manton Wood.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading factory performance, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering key manufacturing KPIs across a large-scale food production environment.

Managing 1013 Team Leaders and influencing a workforce of up to 300 colleagues, you'll be responsible for driving performance, maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, health & safety, and developing a high-performing culture.

Responsibilities: Leading day-to-day factory operations to achieve production, quality, and service targets.

Coaching, developing, and empowering Team Leaders to maximise performance and engagement.

Driving a strong Health & Safety culture and ensuring compliance with all company policies and legislation.

Managing labour planning, material costs, waste reduction, and operational efficiencies.

Ensuring food safety, quality standards, GMP, and audit requirements are consistently met.

Working collaboratively with Planning, Technical, Engineering, Goods In, and Despatch teams to deliver outstanding customer service levels.

Food manufacturing management experience (minimum 18 months at manager level or above preferred).

Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills.

Commercial awareness and a focus on continuous improvement.
