The Opportunity: 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights - 12 hour shifts. As Engineering Team Leader, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring equipment reliability, efficient maintenance, and a safe working environment across your area. You will take ownership of team development, KPIs, crisis management, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day engineering activity and resource planning
- Lead and develop a skilled engineering team with regular 1:1s and reviews
- Ensure health & safety compliance, risk assessments, and permit-to-work controls
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and reduce downtime through robust problem solving
- Maintain site readiness for internal/external audits and engineering compliance
The Ideal Candidate:

- HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 / BTEC / City & Guilds in mechanical, electrical or mechatronic engineering
- Proven experience in engineering leadership within FMCG, ideally food manufacturing
- Strong people management, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of CMMS systems, 18th Edition Wiring Regs, and health & safety best practice
- Experience managing audits, crisis incidents, and continuous improvement projects
