Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you'll be the site lead for all health, safety and environmental matters, providing expert guidance and strategic direction to ensure legal compliance, continuous improvement and a strong safety culture across the business. You'll work closely with operational, technical and leadership teams, influencing decisions, driving improvement initiatives and ensuring health, safety and environmental priorities remain at the heart of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage health and safety activity across the site.
- Implement Group health and safety policies, standards and improvement plans.
- Advise site and senior leaders on health, safety and fire risk matters.
- Monitor performance through audits, inspections and KPIs, and follow up on actions.
- Lead accident and incident investigations and make sure learning is shared.
- Ensure risk assessments and safe systems of work are in place and reviewed.
- Support and coach managers, supervisors and safety representatives.
- Plan and support emergency arrangements, drills and reviews.
- Act as the main contact for internal and external health and safety audits.
About You:

- NEBOSH Diploma and ideally Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH), or be working towards these qualifications.

- Confidence working with senior leaders and site teams.
- Ability to explain health and safety requirements in a clear and practical way.
- Calm, confident approach when dealing with incidents or challenging situations.
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
