About The Role (Weekend Nights) based in Callington, Cornwall

Shift Pattern: Friday - Sunday Hours: 18:00 - 06:00

We are looking for a proactive and inspirational Area Manager to lead a manufacturing team within our food production operation. Reporting to the Department Manager, you will be responsible for delivering performance across safety, quality, people, service and cost while creating a culture of continuous improvement. Leading through Team Leaders and Supervisors, you will ensure production plans are achieved, standards are maintained and teams are engaged, motivated and developed to perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach and develop Team Leaders and production teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Drive performance across safety, quality, productivity, service and cost KPIs.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, quality, HACCP and site standards.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Analyse operational data, investigate performance issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.

  • Proven leadership experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG production environment.
  • Experience managing large teams through Team Leaders or Supervisors.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, quality and operational compliance.
  • Track record of delivering measurable improvements in productivity and efficiency.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, target-driven manufacturing environment.
  • HACCP, Food Safety or Lean Manufacturing qualifications.
  • Knowledge of BRC standards.
  • Experience working within automated production environments.
