Information
Manor Leas Junior Academy are looking to recruit Wraparound Care Assistants to start as soon as possible) to cover maternity absence. Salary: Grade 3, Point 6 (Pay award pending)
Afterschool club role – 3 to 9 hrs per week – term time only (Monday, Tuesday and Friday 3pm to 6pm). Additional short notice cover for sickness would be available
Breakfast club - 1 to 3 hrs per week - term time only (Monday, Tuesday and Friday 07.30 - 08.30) plus additional short notice cover for sickness would be available.
These roles can be undertaken by one person or multiple people - therefore please do apply even if you cannot undertake all hours advertised.
There would also be the opportunity to undertake the role of Teaching Assistant for the right candidate(s).

Job Role:
- Providing the pupils with appropriate, fun and engaging activities
- Helping develop the children’s’ self-esteem and independence
- Helping with the general care and support of pupils within the wrap around care facility
- Contributing to the health and well‑being of pupils within the facility;
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with individual pupils and parents/carers;
- Being an effective model for pupil behaviour.
- Ensuring safe collection of the children at the end of each session
- Food and drink preparation (snacks)
Support for the school
- monitor effective working relationships with colleagues and parents;
- contribute to the maintenance of pupils' safety and security;
- review and develop their own professional practice;
- recognise confidentiality, child protection procedures, Health & Safety, and the policies of the Governing Body and the LEA.
Employment is subject to satisfactory DBS check, online check, references and pre‑employment checks.
