SALARY/GRADE: NJC Scale BBU9, points 24 - 27 (FTE: £35,412 - £38,220 pro rata. Actual: £33,142 - £35,770 per annum)
RESPONSIBLE TO: Assistant Principal (Behaviour & Attitudes)
HOURS: 37 hours per week, term time plus INSET, plus an additional 3 weeks
The Bedfordshire Schools Trust (BEST) is a multi-academy trust providing exceptional education across our community of 11 schools and five nurseries. Samuel Whitbread Academy is looking to recruit an exceptional candidate as a Head of Year, to work in close partnership with the Senior Leadership Team in order to embed the school vision and develop an outstanding school that empowers our students to take responsibility and drive their own destiny. This role requires a leader who is 100% aligned to Samuel Whitbread’s values, mission and approach. You will have the opportunity to shape culture in your year group by leading your year team to ensure superb outcomes for your pupils.
The successful candidate will have an unwavering determination to deliver excellence for students from all starting points and have the ability to manage behaviour effectively to create a positive, calm and purposeful climate for learning. This role will involve working closely with the pupils at Samuel Whitbread Academy and you will be engaging in regulated activity with children.
