We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Chef or Kitchen Manager to join our team at a traditional Samuel Smith's pub in Central London. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys leading a busy kitchen while maintaining high standards of food quality, service, hygiene and team performance. Working within a medium to high-volume kitchen, you will lead by example, preparing and serving quality traditional pub food while supporting, training and developing the kitchen team. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the kitchen to ensure smooth and efficient service. Prepare, cook and serve food to a consistently high standard, following agreed recipes and specs. Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards at all times. Complete all required food safety checks and due diligence accurately. Train, coach and develop kitchen team members to maintain high standards. Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation. Work towards and achieve agreed GP and food cost targets. Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment. What We're Looking For: Experience at Supervisor, Sous Chef, Senior Chef or Head Chef level. Experience working in a branded, fresh food or traditional pub environment. Experience managing busy kitchen, with food sales of approximately £5k£12k per week. Food Safety Level 2 or 3 qualification. Strong kitchen management and organisational skills. Good understanding of food costs and the ability to achieve agreed GP targets. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with the whole team. A willingness to be hands-on and actively involved in service and work well under pressure. What We Offer: Live-in accommodation available with no bills. Uniform provided.
