Based in the historic market town of Tadcaster, Samuel Smith's is one of Britain's oldest and most distinctive independent breweries, renowned for its rich heritage, historic pubs and hotels, and commitment to preserving traditional British hospitality.

We are seeking a practical and resourceful individual with an interest in marketing, communications, design and brand development to join our team as a Marketing Assistant.

You will support the marketing manager across a varied range of activities helping to promote Samuel Smith's brewery, pubs, hotels, and distinctive heritage.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities

Designing and building website content, to support promotional activity, and help to maintain consistent and engaging communications.

Manage social media content supporting marketing campaigns, events, and other projects.

Lead at in-person events by engaging directly with customers through tutored beer tastings, brewery tours, and other events.

Support the design and development of product and printed marketing materials, including product labels, printed brochures, posters, banners etc. ensuring all materials reflect Samuel Smith's distinctive visual identity and heritage.

We are looking for someone who

Has knowledge and experience of digital marketing, communications, social media, and content creation.

Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, to create and edit materials.

Must have a customer-centric approach and confidence in representing Samuel Smith's at in person events.

Has an appreciation for Samuel Smith's heritage, traditional values, and distinctive brand.

Has excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills.

Is confident working independently while also contributing positively to a team.

Has a full driving license and lives within approximately 45 minutes of Tadcaster, North Yorkshire.
