An established company operating within the UK energy and utilities sector is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects and contribute to ongoing business development activities. This position offers a mix of project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and commercial support, working across a range of engineering and infrastructure initiatives within the evolving energy market.
The Role
You will be responsible for coordinating projects from initial planning through to completion, working with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure successful delivery against technical, commercial, and safety requirements. Alongside project delivery, the role will involve supporting proposal development, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the identification of future project opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and coordination of large-scale infrastructure projects across the energy and utilities sector.
- Work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Monitor project schedules, resources, and budgets to support successful delivery.
- Ensure work is carried out in line with industry standards, client requirements, and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Commercial & Client Engagement
- Assist in preparing technical documentation and proposals for upcoming opportunities.
- Support relationship management with existing and prospective clients.
- Contribute to identifying new project opportunities within the energy and infrastructure market.
- Participate in client meetings, tender processes, and industry events when required.
Candidate Profile
- Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, construction, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience delivering or supporting major energy infrastructure or utilities projects.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Commercial awareness or experience supporting business development activities would be advantageous.
