We are working with an established and growing bespoke high-end residential contractor delivering complex, design-led projects for private clients. The business specialises in premium residential construction, refurbishment, and fit-out, with a strong reputation for quality, discretion, and repeat client work.
As part of a planned growth strategy towards £10–12m turnover, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take full ownership of multiple projects and play a critical role in relieving director-level pressure. This is a hands-on, office-based project management role, suited to someone who thrives on responsibility, decision-making, and commercial ownership.
The Senior Project Manager’s Role
The Senior Project Manager will take responsibility for managing and delivering circa £5m of work across two or more concurrent projects, predominantly within the high-end residential sector. This is not a site manager role. Site presence is required when appropriate, but the emphasis is on project ownership, coordination, and delivery from a desk.
The Senior Project Manager
To be considered, you should demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager within high-end residential construction in the UK.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with combined values of £4–6m+
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of cost, margin, and risk
- Ability to operate with autonomy and take genuine responsibility for outcomes
- Confidence managing consultants, subcontractors, and demanding private clients
- A proactive, driven mindset
- Experience in smaller or mid-sized contractors where accountability is real
- Strong organisational, communication, and decision-making skills
- Must hold good longevity at previous employers and have solid UK experience
This role will not suit candidates who are primarily site managers, or those looking to move away from site work without committing to an office-based project management career long-term.
In Return?
- Salary up to £90,000, depending on experience
- Comprehensive
- High level of autonomy and trust
- Direct access to senior decision-makers
- A key role in a growing business with clear long-term opportunity
- The chance to genuinely influence how projects are run and delivered
