Are you a Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong groundworks and streetworks experience, looking for a role where you can take real ownership of your projects? This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior position at a well-established civil engineering contractor that delivers high-quality groundworks, drainage, and infrastructure packages, typically ranging between £20k and £1m in value.

With one of the senior team members stepping back into retirement, the company is now seeking an experienced QS to take the reins on 5–8 live projects, working closely with the Directors to ensure smooth delivery from procurement through to final accounts. You’ll be joining a tight-knit, diverse commercial team that values autonomy, commitment, and collaboration, where your input will genuinely make an impact.

The Senior Quantity Surveyors Role
  • Oversee a portfolio of live groundworks & streetworks projects (drainage, tarmacing, hard landscaping, RC works).
  • Prepare and manage CVRs, variations, and valuations.
  • Attend weekly construction meetings and regular site visits.
  • Liaise directly with Directors, Site Managers, and the wider delivery team.
  • Support estimating, procurement, and cost reporting through all project stages.
You as the Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Experienced Senior QS (groundworks / civil engineering essential).
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple projects.
  • Confident reporting directly to company Directors.
  • Based within reach of Brentford, with flexibility to work from home.
  • Committed, professional, and eager to take long-term ownership of your work.
In Return for the Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • £70,000 – £90,000 basic salary (DOE).
  • Car allowance & performance-related bonus.
  • Flexible / hybrid working options.
