Our client has over 35 years of experience in conserving, restoring, and regenerating historic buildings, scheduled monuments, and churches throughout London and the Southeast. They combine traditional craftsmanship with modern construction management to deliver exceptional results across a wide range of conservation projects.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join the team in a full-time, permanent role. Based primarily in London, you will be responsible for overseeing cost control, preparing bills of quantities (BOQ), cost reporting, and budget planning. You will collaborate closely with both conservation specialists and construction professionals to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost plans
  • Cost control and financial management across multiple projects
  • Producing accurate and timely cost reports
  • Working closely with project teams to ensure budget compliance
  • Analysing data and providing commercial insight
  • Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and clients
  • Supporting the delivery of conservation and heritage projects with financial precision

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in quantity surveying, ideally within construction or heritage sectors
  • Strong skills in cost control, planning, and reporting
  • Proficiency in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
