I am currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing construction and development contractor in North London. This contractor is experiencing significant growth, with turnover increasing from £10m to £20m over the next 2–3 years. They deliver high-quality schemes across residential and commercial sectors, with a strong focus on prime London developments. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to work across a mix of high-end residential, mixed-use developments, and commercial fit-out projects.

The Role – Quantity Surveyor

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility across multiple construction projects, typically valued up to £5m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing cost control, budgeting and forecasting
  • Producing and managing CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations)
  • Handling variations, valuations and final accounts
  • Subcontractor procurement and management
  • Working closely with Project Managers and Directors
  • Supporting projects from pre-construction through to completion

Requirements – Quantity Surveyor

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Background working for a main contractor or developer
  • Experience delivering residential, mixed-use or commercial fit-out projects
  • Strong knowledge of CVRs, variations and commercial reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in Design & Build (D&B) environments (desirable)

Salary & Package

  • Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 (DOE)
