A leading UK construction and development business is seeking a Project Manager to join their growing team. With a strong pipeline across residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects (£2m–£5m), they are known for delivering high-quality schemes with a focus on design, detail, and client satisfaction.
Current projects include a £5.5m - 9-unit high-spec commercial mixed used development in Dalston, Hackney.
The Project Manager’s Role
- You will take full ownership of projects from pre-construction through to handover and defects, ensuring delivery is safe, on programme, and commercially successful.
- Working closely with Directors, Commercial teams, Consultants, and Sub-Contractors, you will lead projects end-to-end, including:
- Managing programmes, risks, and project delivery
- Overseeing site teams and subcontractors
- Owning project finances (P&L, valuations, variations, final accounts)
- Leading client communication and stakeholder coordination
- Ensuring compliance with CDM, H&S, and quality standards
- Driving successful handovers and defect-free completion
The Project Manager
- Proven experience delivering UK construction projects (£2m–£5m)
- Background in residential and/or commercial sectors
- Strong experience in piling and structural works
- Experience working on tight/complex developments
- Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 and UK Building Regulations
- Experience with JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Commercially aware with strong financial management skills
- Proficient in MS Project or Asta Powerproject
- Excellent leadership and client-facing skills
