Their Essex scheme alone will deliver 3,700 homes alongside extensive infrastructure, making it one of the region’s most significant long-term developments.
Unlike traditional contractors, this role sits on the client side, offering exposure across the full development lifecycle and a genuine route into senior construction and development positions. This is a site-based position where you will play a key role in overseeing infrastructure delivery from early design through to adoption. Responsibilities include:

- Monitoring contractors on-site to ensure quality, safety, and programme compliance
- Overseeing delivery of roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, and landscaping
- Acting as the primary on-site presence for the wider business
- Coordinating with housebuilders, managing permits, and ensuring site standards are maintained
- Assisting with handover, adoption, and defects processes
- Supporting site-wide logistics, access, and estate management
To be considered, you should have:
- Background in civils, groundworks, or infrastructure delivery
- Experience working with main contractors or infrastructure schemes
- Knowledge of 278 works, highways, drainage, and utilities
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience managing subcontractors and reviewing RAMS / quality documentation
- Strong communication skills and proactive approach to problem-solving
- SMSTS or SSSTS and CSCS (required)
- Full UK driving licence
This role would suit someone at Site Manager or Assistant Construction Manager level, looking to progress into a more senior position over time.
In Return?
- £50,000 – £60,000 salary (depending on experience)
- Discretionary annual bonus
- 25 days annual leave
- 10% employer pension contribution
- Private healthcare (family cover)

- Death in service (4x salary)
- Long-term career progression on a flagship development
