Junior Electrical Engineer – West Yorkshire – Permanent – £30-35k + overtime when on site + 25 days holiday + private medical insurance Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Junior Electrical Engineer for a specialist engineering company with a base on the outskirts of Leeds. The company operates in a niche market and have a successful track record of designing and building bespoke, one-off pieces of equipment for their customers. Key aspects of the Junior Electrical Engineer opportunity include; * Be able to design and produce electrical drawings for control systems using AutoCAD Electrical * Medium-long term – will learn how to be able to produce compliant and efficient PLC control system software using Siemens TIA Portal * Will ideally have a Degree in Electrical, Control or Systems related subject or be apprentice trained * Be part of a team who will be responsible for the design and delivery of all work related to the electrical control and automation * Role could suit a Junior Electrical Engineer with a couple of years electrical design experience * Junior Electrical Engineer will learn about the selection and procurement of all control-related hardware and components * The Junior Electrical Engineer role will be working in the commercial refrigeration sector; no previous experience is required of working in the refrigeration industry though! * Provide technical support for customers * Provide onsite commissioning support * Learn how to put together quotations * Demonstrate excellent customer-facing skills * The role will be split roughly 80/20 between the office and out on customer sites * Overtime will be paid at single time for hours worked over when working on site * The working hours are 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am – 4.30pm on Fridays, when you’re not out on site, you’ll be working either in the office or on the shopfloor.
