Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join a growing Cheshire based system integrator. This Control Systems Engineer role will suit someone who enjoys writing PLC software from scratch, producing structured documentation and delivering well-engineered automation projects from concept through to commissioning.
The successful Control Systems Engineer will work on varied process automation projects across sectors including utilities, manufacturing, chemicals, energy and nuclear. This is not a maintenance role or a minor modifications role. The focus is on full lifecycle control systems engineering, software development and high-quality project delivery.
Key aspects of the Control Systems Engineer role include:
- Writing PLC software from scratch for process control and industrial automation projects
- Developing SCADA systems and supporting HMI configuration
- Producing functional design specifications, software documentation, FAT documentation, test plans and technical manuals
- Working from URS / client requirements and translating them into robust control system solutions
