Samuel Frank is recruiting for an Electrical Service Engineer to join a well-established engineering business based in South Yorkshire. The successful Electrical Service Engineer will join a specialist service team responsible for maintaining, fault finding and repairing conveyor systems at customer sites across the UK. The role will suit an electrically biased engineer who enjoys travelling, working on different customer sites and solving problems. Expect to spend around two or three nights away from home each week, with occasional international travel. This Electrical Service Engineer role would suit someone with experience of automated warehouses, logistics, bulk handling, materials handling, baggage handling, conveyors or general industrial automation.

Key aspects of the Electrical Service Engineer role include:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on material handling and conveyor systems
  • Electrical fault finding on control panels, sensors, motors, drives and associated automation equipment
  • Diagnosing faults, carrying out root cause analysis and implementing permanent solutions
  • Supporting breakdowns to minimise customer downtime
  • Completing electrical inspections, health checks and condition reports
  • Assisting with commissioning
