Samuel Frank is recruiting for a South Yorkshire based engineering company as they're looking to add a new Electrical Controls Engineer to the team on a staff basis. The successful Electrical Controls Engineer will work on a wide variety of complex projects and have the opportunity to progress to more senior roles in the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full project lifecycle of automated control systems.
- Programming Siemens PLC / HMI / SCADA and Safety related functions.
- Creation of FSD / SDS / FAT / SAT and other relevant design documentation.
- Prepare estimates, tenders and design specifications.
- Design electrical distribution / motor control centres and PLC control systems.
Main Requirements:
- Good Electrical design experience using AutoCAD.
- Programming PLC software (ideally have Siemens experience).
- Current / recent experience of working in a turnkey project environment.
- Experienced in control panel/MCC design, ideally with Siemens equipment.
- Sound knowledge of industrial control systems including electrical distribution equipment, motor control centres and PLC control panels.
- Qualified to HNC/HND or Degree level.
- Role will suit a Controls Engineer with around 6-8 years related experience.
- Ideally have some knowledge of AC/DC drive systems.
The office is commutable from Leeds, Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster, Wakefield, Chesterfield, Huddersfield, Pontefract, Rotherham, Batley, Bradford and Chesterfield.
