Control System Engineer West Yorkshire or Staffordshire Permanent – £50-60k + overtime when on site + 25 days holiday + company car + private medical insurance

Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Control System Engineer for a specialist engineering company with a base on the outskirts of Leeds as well as one near Lichfield in Staffordshire.

The company operates in a niche market and have a successful track record of designing and building bespoke, one-off pieces of equipment for their customers.

Key aspects of the Control System Engineer opportunity include;

  • Be able to produce compliant and efficient PLC control system software using Siemens TIA Portal
  • Ideally have some experience of designing and producing electrical drawings for control systems
  • Oversee the design and delivery of all work related to the electrical control and automation
  • Control System Engineer will take full responsibility for the selection and procurement of all control-related hardware and components
  • The Control System Engineer role will be working in the refrigeration sector, no previous experience is required of working in the refrigeration industry though!
  • Provide technical support and assistance to onsite engineers and end users
  • Provide onsite commissioning support
  • Put together quotations
  • Demonstrate excellent customer-facing skills and represent the organisation at external project meetings
  • The role will be split roughly 80/20 between the office and out on customer sites
  • Overtime will be paid at single time for hours worked over when working on site
  • The working hours are 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am 4.30pm on Fridays, when youre not out on site, youll be working either in the office or on the shopfloor.
