Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Commissioning & Installation Engineer to join a well-established engineering business based in South Yorkshire. Established in the mid-1990s, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering bespoke machinery and engineering solutions. The successful Commissioning & Installation Engineer will split their time approximately 50/50 between working at the company’s Doncaster facility and carrying out installation, testing and commissioning work at customer sites across the UK (and occasionally internationally). This role would suit someone who enjoys variety. One day could involve assisting with PLC and HMI software testing, electrical fault finding and machine setup. The next could involve mechanical assembly support, factory testing or customer site work.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Supporting PLC and HMI software testing, modifications and fault finding
  • Assisting with electrical testing, panel checks and machine setup activities
  • Working from electrical drawings to carry out wiring checks and fault finding
