Permanent Service Engineer β Electrical / Controls / Drives β Β£40-45k + Β£6k car allowance + bonus + 25 days holiday
Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join a systems integrator with a base in Cheshire. The successful Service Engineer will be responsible for the servicing of automation and control related systems and site support for PLCs, AC/DC drive systems, robots, networks and SCADA systems.
Key aspects of the Service Engineer role include:
- Reactive site support on customer automation control applications to include PLC, VSDs, robots and SCADA systems
- 24/7 reactive callout support (rostered cover)
- Methodical problem-solving approach
- Workshop testing of engineered automation control systems
- Investigate and repair of components to include PLC, VSDs, Robots and SCADA systems
- Reading electrical schematic diagrams and PLC software listings
- Keeping accurate and up to date site logs and timesheets
- Accurate marking-up of project schematics and documentation
- Electrically biased and qualified
- Experience in drive control & automation in industries such as metal, printing, automotive or paper manufacturing
- Good industrial networking experience β Ethernet, Profibus or Modbus
The company has bases in Cheshire and Shropshire. While the successful Service Engineer isnβt working away, there will be a requirement to be involved with the final stages of testing on the shop floor, attend meetings, etc.
