With immediate effect, we are looking for a Field Sales Engineer (Technical Sales) in South-Central England / Oxford / Cambridge (UK) Home Based. From your home office, you will be responsible for the support and further development of our customers in this strategically important sales position. As a specialist, you sell our entire product portfolio. You will be further developing our sales area and looking after existing customer contacts in our customers' engineering and manufacturing departments.

What do we expect from you?
- Presales support, analysing target groups and determining customer needs.
- Budget and profit responsibility within the defined sales territory.
- Acquisition of new customers and expansion of existing customer contacts in the electronics industry.
- Answering customer inquiries and developing technical solutions with the help of the Samtec product teams.
- Presentation of the company and the Samtec products at trade fairs and specialist events.
- Independent planning and implementation of workshops, tech days and webinars for key accounts and distribution partner contacts in the sales area.
- Cooperation and support to the inside sales team to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Regular reporting of sales activities to management.
- Independent maintenance of your customer master data.
Application requirements:
- Degree in electrical / electronic engineering, or comparable, or equivalent technical sales related work experience.
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable, possibly technically oriented sales function would be an advantage.
- Knowledge in the field of electromechanics or semiconductor technologies is desirable, but not a requirement.
- Extensive product training is provided.
- Residence within the assigned sales area is essential.
- Very good spoken and written English is essential.
- Valid driving licence.
- Willingness to travel frequently (minimum 50%) within your territory.
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications, Teams, Salesforce, Power BI.
