The Sustainability & Compliance Placement is needed to support the Sustainability, Compliance and Health & Safety Managers, ensuring that compliance requirements are met, supporting the development/implementation of policies and strategies to address legal obligations, and working with both external partners and internal teams to support the diverse needs of the business.

As a member of the SEUK Legal, Compliance and Sustainability team, you will be helping deliver innovative programmes to ensure SEUK is at the forefront of industry best practice.

Key Deliverables:

  • Reviewing, administering and improving SEUK’s compliance policies and processes.
  • Providing general administrative support, including the co-ordination of compliance training delivery.
  • Conducting audits to assess the effectiveness of SEUK’s compliance policies and processes.
  • Supporting the Sustainability Manager in their role for SEUK and Ireland.
  • Monitoring emerging regulation and keeping colleagues informed of regulatory changes that will impact the business.
  • Generating and developing new ideas and solutions to tackle sustainability issues.
  • Supporting the compliance team on an ad-hoc basis with any business needs.

Requirements:

  • Environmental/sustainability background is desired.
  • Creative problem solver with the confidence to build processes to support business needs.
  • Comfortable managing their own time and planning tasks accordingly.
  • Good communication, networking and influencing skills.
  • A self-starter showing strong initiative in tasks.
  • Strong MS Office skills including Excel.
