HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 hour week; 5 days per week in the Weybridge Office.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • The Role in the Management MSP team based at Samsung SDS Europe UK will work closely with the Samsung Electronics in Europe, our project partners, SDS HQ, internal support teams and relevant third parties, to sell and deliver projects.
  • Samsung SDS Europe is focusing on generative AI and hyper automation as strategic businesses and you are required to have a high level of interest and understanding in this field.
  • Since the core competency of the Management MSP team is ERP, you may need to prepare a business that leverages ERP-related capabilities.
  • You will need to be able to sell projects via IT consulting capability and also hit the ground running and pick up in-flight projects, as well as work on projects from initiation through to completion.
  • You will have responsibility to manage group of 10 or more people who consist of business development, project management and technical specialists personnel to fulfil the department objectives including financial goals.
  • You and your group will be providing consulting and coordinating new IT solutions to resolve issues and pain points faced by Samsung Electronics subsidiaries across Europe.
  • You must also possess adequate experience in structuring and negotiating complex deals with strategic partners and managing the relationships on-going.
  • You will be involved in building strategy and manage sales, PM and tech resources to help them to perform efficiently.
  • You will not only have the opportunity to lead on client site within this businesses flagship projects, but also play a key role in the development of this practice through using your professional network and by skilfully developing a sales pipeline.
  • Successfully lead group in project and programme development and deliver on significant projects, working with directors and partners.
  • Play an essential role in business development and lead the business in terms of sales and new client generation.
  • Build category strategy for both the business and client bases and ensuring that client objectives are executed.
  • Be able to identify potential issues and undertake opportunity assessment for improvement.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ownership of group performance, objective and goals.
  • Responsible for managing projects allocation to the responsible persons with the group from planning through to delivery.
  • Identify key project stakeholders and build effective relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Prepare project plans and business requirement documentation.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure critical controls are implemented.
  • Complete understanding and control of projects, their current status, their requirements and deadlines.
  • Identify risks and recommend plan for contingencies.
  • Track and resolves risks, issues, and action items throughout project lifecycle.
  • Ensure project activities meet requirements and corporate standards.
  • Prepare presentation material and present to senior managers as and when required.
  • Manage issues related to business professionally and promptly.
  • Understand SDS solutions and present to the client for SDS business opportunities.
  • Identification and development of new business opportunities in the client base.
  • Understand and demonstrate the value of SDSE to the clients.
  • Clearly understand the customers’ requirements and liaise between EU subsidiaries and SEC Headquarters to ensure requirements are fully captured.
  • Involvement in meetings and workshops from initiation to delivery.
  • Maintain and form new relationships with multiple decision makers in the client base.
  • Produce reports for internal use (weekly, monthly basis).
  • Provide strategic account management for helping customers to achieve their objectives via our IT projects proposing.
  • Work with product management in SDS HQ to define product and service offerings that meet customers’ needs.

EDUCATION:

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

Essential –

  • High level of understanding of cutting-edge technologies such as generative AI.
  • Ability to build a team to run a business and High understanding of SAP ERP.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, grow and manage relationships with multiple clients and strategic partners (e.g. SDS HQ, IT Innovation unit and Solution unit), with a consistent focus on revenue growth and concrete business results.
  • Proven leadership to manage a group of members from various backgrounds, culture and skillset.
  • 5 + years Consulting experience with IT Industries.
  • Strong problem solving with solution proposal skill is required.
  • A proven negotiator and influencer at all levels with ability to drive decision-making across multiple functions and organizational areas.
  • A strategic thinker with high level of business intelligence.
  • Strong analytical foundation, must be able to think through complex deal structures with multiple variables and able to pick up new ideas and subject matter quickly.
  • Strong project IT management skills with ability to organize project work effectively, reprioritise as new demands/changes arise and to juggle a number of major projects.
  • Experienced in requirements gathering and proposal write-ups.
  • Proactive, independent and responsible attitude.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work comfortably in unstructured environments.
  • Strong teamwork skills and an engaging and confident professional demeanour.
  • Clear oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex value propositions to the client's senior executives.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Tools (Visio, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong consultancy experience including management experience within a competitive environment is required.
  • Experience working in professional service environments is required, with management consulting highly preferred (and related skills of problem solving and stakeholder engagement are required).
  • Strong experience in working within a large organisation, multiple stakeholders, and big agencies.
  • 5+ years of people management experience is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in the IT or electronic goods industry is preferable.
  • Full project lifecycle experience in digital strategy deployment and use of, e.g., Web-based solutions, agile development, application development, or digital architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic international business development combined with consulting will be preferable.

HOURS OF WORK:

37.5 hour week, 5 days in SDSE Weybridge Office. Some weekend and evening work may be required for emergencies and projects.
